Kommentary: GD & TOP 'Knock Out'!

I've really been slipping this month. GD & TOP released a video for 'Knock Out' like a month ago and I'm just now posting it (same goes for like the last 3 kommentarys I've posted). I've been obsessed with 'Knock Out', and seriously this video is standard YG ridiculousness.



- 0:10 Idk what they're laying on, but apparently G-Dragon's lap is more comfy.
- 0:17 Also, Idk what is up with this stumbling about that they keep doing, and why is TOP so good at it.
- 0:37 WHITE GIRLS! I'm all over the fact that TOP uses a fair number of white girls.
- 0:57 1) That thing is terrifying. 2) TOP's adorable.
- 1:18 .... Whats on these bunny girl's faces?
- 1:26 BAHAHAHA! Love it! Fact: Every one loves popping bubble wrap!

- 1:37 Soooo I'm gonna say only G-Dragon could pull off those eyebrows. Eh, maybe Lady Gaga could.

- 2:18 I feel like at some point while shooting this scene TOP got hit on the head.

Side Note: GD & TOP are actually releasing another video within the next 24 hours, so look forward to that! It will be up at some point in the next month I'm sure.

Popsicle...?

DNA/The Boss (I'm a little confused on what their name is) debut their sub-unit, Popsicle, a couple weeks ago (I think). Popsicle consists of Jay and two of my favorite members Mika and Karam. Honestly, the songs nothing special but the boys are adorable.



Couple things:
1) What boy band sub-unit would go by the name Popsicle?
2) Mika could be a ghost.
3) Karam is definitely the love child of Taemin and JJ. 
4) Every time I hear the song I swear its a girl groups song. Doesn't the beginning sound extremely similar to 2ne1's 'I Don't Know'?

Kommentary: DBSK 'Keep You're Head Down'

Oh DBSK minus 3, I love them more than I want to. Really just the song. I really do love this song. The video, eh. I'd rather watch a live performance.



- 0:30 Dang. If you're not excited to watch the video after that opening, then you're lying.
- 0:59 What!? U-Know's a fire bender! Wow, who knew.
- 1:07 I'd like to stop for a second and point out how ridiculous this video is, all the arm movements are accompanied by whooshing noises.
- 1:12 Uh Maxxie love, theres no such thing as light benders.
- 1:15 Sooo I oddly love this move.
- 1:22 And I can't take this move seriously. Laugh every time I see it.

Nicki Minaj Is A Creepin'!

Love Nicki soooo much. She was the musical guest on SNL, and she did a digital short with Lonely Island and it is pure love.




Also, Nicki just released her new video for 'Moment 4 Life'. I want to be Nicki in this video, only can I replace Drake with either any of my Asians, Justin Timberlake (btw, Happy Birthday JT! Hard to believe he's already 30. Sigh, I've spent over half my life in love with him.), or T.I?

I've Never Been More In Need Of English Subs

Apparently Strong Hearts this week was just ablaze with ridiculous Jokwon dance offs... and none of its english subbed yet, but it really needs to be.
The first one is Park Jungmin from SS501 vs Jokwon... Poor Jungmin didn't stand a chance. I love the fact that he realized it too, and just backed off.




Now this one... words. Leetuek's older sister is apparently an actress and was a guest on Strong Hearts with him... Poor Leetuek. The whole clip you can tell he's embarrassed/nervous to have her on the show, and then you get to about 5:00 and begin to understand why.



Love the fact that she steadily gets more ridiculous as the clip goes on, but my absolute favorite thing is everyone elses reactions. So funny. Easily just became my favorite Asian siblings.
Seriously if anyone wants to subs this, or can find me some subs, I'd love them to death.

Kommentary: Double Dose Of MBLAQ!

MBLAQ released two music video (weeks ago) for their new singles 'Cry' and 'Stay'. Clearly these Asians know how to start the year off right.

Up first, 'Cry'. Now I waited a while to see these boys again, and was a little disappointed. I like the song, but not near enough Mir for my liking.



- 0:08 I'm protesting this beginning. Something about spoken openings (especially in english) to songs just bug me.
- 0:21 I'm going to say MBLAQ has mastered synchronized floor scuttling.
- 0:32 So jealous of Joon's make up (and everyone elses actually). Look at those eyes! I want those eyes.
- 0:36 You know Rain gave them this move. It screams 'Love Song'. Now if someone can find me an animated animal parody, that would make my life.
- 1:12 Sooo I'm giving them props on the ridiculous dramatics of the choreography matching the ridiculous dramatics of the song.
- 1:53 Oh how I've missed my Mir (and the way he scrunches up his little nose <3).
- 2:01 Oh wow, they just upped there dramatics. I'm impressed, cause they were already pretty dramatic.
- 2:10 Joon dances pretty underwater. So glad he majored in modern dance.
- 3:00 Dancing in the rain/water... Love it! Sigh, such a weakness. (Also, they just upped the dramatics again. Dang MBLAQ.)



MBLAQ's other new video, 'Stay' was a bit more satisfying. I rather like the song, but it sounds really familiar and can't figure out why... SHINee's Jojo maybe? Also, I like how this song balances out vocals and raps. It kind of reminds me of Big Bang in that area.

- 0:11 I really love this mv set, the heart looks like it's made out of paper mache.
- 0:17 Really Thunder, again you open the song this way? Sigh.
- 0:50 Seungho looks like an elf. He could totally have been in Lord of the Rings.
- 0:58 Wth is this dance.... Jazz hands go!
- 1:44 Why does Joon look absolutely crazy? Actually, why do they all look crazy.
- 1:59 You know, now that I'm seeing this move again I'm excited about how easily I can dance this in the car. (and idk why the line 'you think you fancy huh' keeps going through my mind.)
- 2:33 The way G.O. says, and sings, 'Still remember' is kind of weird... right?
- 2: 43 This is def my favorite part of the song. I love the seamless why they go back and forth, even though I feel Thunder needs to leave more of the rapping to Mir. (also, I really love the faces Mir makes when he raps. So cute.)



Conclusion, so glad MBLAQ's back.

Why Does February Seem So Far Away!

So next month brings the comebacks of Big Bang and Dalmatian... Guess who's overly excited for next month. Literally anything I see that mentions either two of these groups I'm all over, which is probably why I'm obsessed with the following video. Jisu from Dalmatian attempts IU's famous '3 octave note', and homeboys pretty amazing. (Also, I really love their reactions when he does it)

Kommentary: Infinite 'Before The Dawn'

I could usually care less about Infinite, nothing about them has really attracted me before. However things may just change. Their new song kind of got me hooked (at least the chorus doesn't seem to want to get out of my head), and I'm loving the video too (even though I have no idea whats going on...).



- 0:38 Already love how ridiculously intense this video is.
- 1:08 ... Who is this man?
- 1:19 Where can I get a movie version of this mv? Like one that doesn't flash between two kids in a fight for their life and boyband choreography.
- 1:53 Wow, these boys get beat up well.

Teen Top released a new album the other day, they've already had one comeback stage, and the mv for their new single 'Supa Luv' (which was produced by the same person who did Justin Biebers 'One less lonely girl', just a little trivia for ya) came out today... Listen, I don't understand why this boyband even exists. One member does 90% of the singing. It's like the male version of the pussycat dolls. New name for this group: Niel + Five Other Guyswhowilleventuallygetmadaboutnevergettinganypartsandleavethegroup.
The song's pretty catchy though.


1) 0:08 Does technology like this really exist?.. Technology scares me. Like I finally watched G.I. Joe, and if anything in that movie is/could be real than the worlds just going to blow up.

Let Those Skinny Hoes Know!

So this new girl group, Piggy Dolls, just debuted. I'm actually kind of surprised by how awesome they are. Heres what makes them so awesome:
These girls are thicker than your average idol and they're clearly bragging about it. They boost about how amazing their vocals are, and how because they're thicker their voices reflect that. Basically they sound like fierce black woman. Listen, they did a cover of Destiny's Child's 'Emotion', and they killed it. Just killed it. Their vocals were impressive and I didn't cringe at their english, in fact it was pretty good. I'd say Destiny's Child should be proud of this Asian cover.



Their debut stage was rather impressive. I actually sat and watched the whole thing without losing some kind of interest at any point, which is an incredible feat for any group no matter how much I love them.

The remaining two members of DBSK just released their new single... I'm going to be honest, I love it. I've never wished to have all five of them back together so bad, but for being my least two favorite members I'm impressed. Idk what to think about the lyric translation though.
